My brother (Andy) and I lost our mother to a stroke 2 years ago with no warning, due to this we’ve become aware of how many families have been affected by this awful condition so my brother is very gallantly attempting to climb and ski Mont Blanc in aid of the Stoke Association.
This May Day Bank Holiday, Andy and 5 friends will be taking on the challenge.
The challenge essentially involved 2 1/2 days of trekking up from the Plan de l'Aiguille (2300m) to the summit of Mont Blanc (4807m) on the Grands Mulets route using a combination of touring skis (essentially pair of skis wear the heels release, with "skins" attached to the bottom to allow you to grip the snow) and climbing with crampons and ice-axes, followed by the fun bit - a descent of a few hours on skis.
We have a target of £10,000 to reach, Architectural Elite and everyone involved would be so grateful if you could space a few pennies to support in raising money for such a worthy cause. Any donation, however small, would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks in advance
